Currently, it is especially difficult in Sumy Region, as the enemy is very close constantly shelling populated areas. The Shostka community, which our Foundation constantly helps, is no exception.
To support the residents of Shostka and improve their morale, Farmak’s employees organized an initiative to collect books for the city’s libraries.
Last year only, more than 13 million books were written off in the libraries of Ukraine*. And there is a great need to replenish the library fund, which is not easy to do in the territories that are constantly attacked by russia.
To provide adults and children with quality literature, the Zhebrivsky Family Charitable Foundation supported Farmak’s initiative, and already 250 books from employees and those purchased by our Foundation are on the shelves of Shostka libraries.
They gave books for young readers about mysterious journeys, fairies and other fairy-tale heroes, and for adults works of classics and contemporaries such as Oksana Zabuzhko, Maria Matios, Robin Sloan, Lina Kostenko, etc.
We believe that these books will help the development of children, and adults will be able to distract themselves a little and relax by reading.
