UAH 1.3 million in commendation of Ukrainian healthcare professionals

The annual awarding ceremony of the best health professionals “Order of Saint Panteleimon” Honour of the Healthcare Profession took place in Kyiv on August 9. Farmak and the Zhebrivsky Family Charitable Foundation allocated UAH 1,300,000 to honour the merits of Ukrainian health professionals.

The Order of Saint Panteleimon is the highest award for professionalism and charity, which is awarded to medical professionals for significant contribution to health care. This year, the “Medical Oscars” were awarded to 47 nominees. Among them are physicians, nurses, military surgeons, paediatricians, heads of health institutions, scientists.

The best physicians were chosen in the following nominations: “For selfless service to the Ukrainian people, courage and tenacity in the fight for the health of Ukrainians, for the freedom and independence of Ukraine in the war with the Russian aggressor” (for civilian doctors) and “For selfless service to the Ukrainian people, courage and tenacity in the fight for the health of Ukrainians, for the freedom and independence of Ukraine in the war with the Russian aggressor” (for military doctors).

“This award is a symbol of commendation of the bravery and dedication of our health workers, who save lives every day and ensure the health of our fellow Ukrainians. We appreciate their tireless work, both in the rear and on the front lines, and we wish them to feel our respect and support. We owe a debt of gratitude to them for their self-sacrifice, thanks to which we can remain a free and healthy people,” said Filya Zhebrovska, the founder of the Zhebrivsky Family Charitable Foundation, and Chairwoman of Farmak Supervisory Board.

Filya Ivanivna Zhebrovska became a member of the Honourable Council of the Order of Saint Panteleimon in July 2017. Since then, Farmak has been the sponsor of the award for the seventh time. During this time, the company allocated over UAH 7 Mio to honour the best health professionals.
