Each day, wounded soldiers from the front are hospitalized and need urgent and high-quality medical care. They courageously defended our country, and now they themselves need protection and care. Unfortunately, very often the cases are complex and require long rehabilitation.
In order to help the wounded defenders, the Zhebrivsky Family Charitable Foundation concluded an agreement with Oberih Clinic Medical Center. Within the framework of the program, the wounded defenders will be able to undergo an individual medical and rehabilitation program “Rehabilitation of Patients with Severe Physical Challenges”.
12 defenders took part in the rehabilitation program, 8 of whom are currently undergoing rehabilitation. The youngest of them is 20 years old.
“The boys, who we care about, went through the pure hell. Their rehabilitation path will not be simple either. But we can support them in their efforts. Support of the Army represented by the people defending us is our priority”, said Filya Zhebrovska, the founder of the Zhebrivsky Family Charitable Foundation, the Chairwoman of Farmak Supervisory Board.
“This program includes comprehensive therapies and rehabilitation of patients with severe motor, linguistic and cognitive deficits. Mostly, these are bedridden patients who need constant external care. For example, patients with severe brain or spinal cord injury, stroke. Rehabilitation is gradual and time-consuming. We already have positive results with such patients. There are patients who arrive immobilized, and after the therapy, they leave the department on their own feet with (or without) aids. Of course, when there is a war in the country, it is crucial to support such patients, since the number of serious injuries is much higher than in peacetime”, said Iryna Gavryliv, a neurologist at the clinic.
Our Defenders fight for our freedom and life. And we, as society, businesses, charitable organizations should support them.
