It is difficult to overestimate the job of rescuers. During the war, they are entrusted with an enormous responsibility. They are the first to arrive at the site of hits, landing missile debris or explosions. They are the ones who get people out from under the rubble, extinguish fires and evacuate people. Thanks to them, 4,969 people were saved during the full-scale war.

Now the rescuers have to work in conditions of double-tap attacks. The enemy conducts an act of terrorism against the civilians and then strikes when rescuers and EMT personnel arrive at the site of the initial hit. 

For supporting and protecting the personnel of the Kyiv Region Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, 10 level 6 bulletproof vests with ceramic plates were handed over.

Such modern personal protection armour can protect the body from bullet and shrapnel wounds.
