One of the final meetings of the Honorary Council of the Order of Saint Panteleimon Award for Professionalism and Compassion has taken place, marking a key milestone in preparations for the 2025–2026 Awards Ceremony.
The Order of Saint Panteleimon is a prestigious public distinction recognizing outstanding achievements in medicine, medical science, philanthropy, and dedicated service to society.
During the meeting, members of the Honorary Council approved the regulations governing the selection of this year’s laureates, reviewed the findings of the Professional Ethics Commission, and thoroughly discussed the finalists’ nominations. Special attention was also given to preparations for the official Awards Ceremony, which will traditionally be held on Saint Panteleimon’s Day.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Award Ceremony. To commemorate this milestone, a special nomination, “The Greatness of Ukraine,” has been introduced. The winner of this category will be determined through an open public vote.
Healthcare professionals save lives and support patients every day, often under the most challenging circumstances. Their mission has become especially significant during Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, as Ukrainian medical professionals continue to work under shelling, evacuate the wounded, perform complex surgeries, and remain by their patients’ side regardless of the circumstances. Recognizing their professionalism, dedication, and compassion has therefore never been more important.
Everyone is invited to take part in the public vote and support the nominees. Vote here: link.
The Zhebrovskyy Family Foundation has been a longstanding partner of the Order of Saint Panteleimon Award since its establishment.
